The choice of designs, technologies and products is a daunting one for any ICT professional. What is the ideal infrastructure design? What is the most robust Operating System? Who offers the best technology roadmap? Who has the most open systems?

With any decision you may have to live with the outcome for many years to come as it is not always simple to change from blades to servers, from Unix to Windows, from proprietary storage to open storage. How can you simply get answers to the above questions and ensure that you make the right decisions?

All OEM’s that we represent are offered under the Select!CNS program which means that CNS can work with you without having prescribed solutions and OEM’s in mind.

We will look at the application that is satisfying the business need and ensure that the right technology is considered in an independent way. Only once the technology is selected will we focus on the products that can meet the demand.

There are 11 technology practices in the CNS Solutions Architecting group  that have Subject Matter Experts (SME) in areas from Servers & Blades to Security to Passive Networks. It is the responsibility of these groups to help you select the technologies and to integrate them in to a technical solution. They will also work with the OEM’s to ensure that all designs are verified where required.

 

By engaging our SME’s from the beginning, we can help introduce not just independent experience and knowledge, but a CNS developed methodology that will increase the scope of the engagement and increase the quality and longevity of the solution. This methodology will cover the complete solution lifespan and will be used by customer and CNS engineers, managers and administrators alike. CNS staff will apply and share this methodology to ensure the success of all technology integrations and on-going services engagements. We call this DREAM.

 

Where emerging technologies are being considered or the products being acquired are at their introductory stage of their life cycle, then the services you need for successful implementation are critical. CNS is able to schedule Proof Of Concept (POC) testing of the overall technical functionality or key components of the proposed solution before project commitment and roll out. We can schedule this either at the OEM’s own specialist facility or in a localized lab setup for this purpose.

Furthermore CNS can stage the entire solution or the main components so that you can complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at an early stage of the project before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
